Golden Valley IIGolden Valley Memorial Gardens II is owned and managed by the Philippine Knights Group Corporation, started by a few members of the Knights of Columbus in Koronadal way back in 1989. It is the only rolling-terrain memorial park in Koronadal City, situated at Matulas, Barangay Paraiso, at an elevation of about 450 ft. above sea level. It has an area of sixteen hectares, about seven of which are now developed. It is less than three kilometers from the downtown area and accessible by all vehicles going to Banga and other towns on the way to Cotabato City. The market covers Koronadal City and the towns of Banga and Surallah in the West, Tupi and Tampakan in the South, and New Iloilo and Tantangan towards the North. Overlooking Koronadal City, the park is distinctly impressive because of its serene atmosphere, brought about by its rolling terrain and hundreds of trees, shrubs, and bushes. It is surrounded with scenic views in all directions. The park is ideal for meditation and relaxation. The public is always welcome to view and appreciate God’s creation, to breathe fresh air, to take a walk or jog, to have a picnic and bond, to relieve stress and escape the busy life, to simply relax and enjoy, and to connect with nature and departed loved ones. Upon entering the park, you will be welcomed with a 30-foot high gate, which is a small near replica of the grand gate of the “The Mansion,” also called “The White House,” the summer residence of the President of the Philippines in Baguio City. The park has a Children’s Playground with different rides and, for kids’ interaction, an amusing array of sculptures of over twenty animals around a statue of St. Francis of Assisi. It also has an air-conditioned Ecumenical Chapel surrounded with Mahogany trees, a Rally Amphitheater, a Fatima Ossuary, and an Overview “Lantaw” Plaza overlooking the city of Koronadal. Visitors are invited to have a family picnic at the Gazebo, the Viewdeck, or the other recreational areas of the park. At Golden
Valley, you recall pleasant memories of your loved ones, you commune with
nature, you celebrate life, you enter the presence of God! |
